Microcone: The Ideal Microphone for Groups

Microcone Device
Microcone® is an innovatively simple way to capture group conversations. Using just a single microphone array device, Microcone can record individuals within six different directions on six separate audio channels, so you won't need to purchase multiple microphones or spend time setting them up for your groups.

Using Dev-Audio's unique multi-person microphone array technology, Microcone automatically tracks and enhances each voice and applies adaptive background noise reduction. The ability to produce multiple directional audio streams together with speech activity and location information sets the Microcone apart from standard microphone devices.

Microcone Console is installed with the driver on Mac OS X and Windows, allowing you to control and visualise the Microcone processing when using it in any audio application. The software shows a top-down representation of the device and a division of the surrounding space into six sectors. When someone speaks, a circle automatically appears in their direction. The volume of each sector can be independently modified, so you can control relative speaker levels or reduce noise sources.
